About Us Let me tell you a little bit about us. I am 40 years old, married to Alex and we live with sons Gus (16) and Morgan (3). Alex is a freelance music & media consultant and has an office at home. Gus is due to start 6th Form College, full time in September 2010 and Morgan attends a local playgroup 2˝ days per week. Most of my adult working career has also been spent in the media and music industry but after giving birth to Morgan, I decided to stay at home to care for him until I became an Ofsted registered Childminder in November 2009. As well as being a Childminder and mother, my prior experience with children has really been from within our very large family of over 20 nieces and nephews. I am the youngest of 8 sisters and one of my sisters is also an Ofsted registered childminder in Harrow and has 7 years experience. I have completed the ‘Unit 1 Cache Level 3 Diploma in Home–based Childcare (DHC)’ and am about to complete 'Unit 5'. My aim is to further my professional qualifications taking Units 2, 3 and 4 as soon as possible, to complete the 'Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare'. I have a ‘Paediatric First Aid qualification’. We frequently use the local children’s centres, groups and facilities. This includes trips to Willesden Green Library, Roundwood Park and Queens Park. We also attend Treetops Stay & Play Sessions; Three Trees Children’s Centre; Willesden Health & Sports Centres; Moberley Soft Play Sensory Room and Boogie Babies singing group at St Gabriel’s Church. I am a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and our home is insured under NCMA Public Liability Insurance which is underwritten by Alliance Insurance plc. |
