About Us Let me tell you a little bit about us. I am 41 years old, married to Alex and we live with sons Gus (17) and Morgan (4). Alex is a freelance music and media consultant and has an office at home. Gus attends 6th Form College full time and Morgan attends full time nursery school. Most of my adult working career has also been spent in the media and music industry but after giving birth to Morgan, I decided to stay at home to care for him until I became an Ofsted registered Childminder in November 2009. As well as being a Childminder and mother, my prior experience with children has really been from within our very large family of over 20 nieces and nephews. I am the youngest of 8 sisters and one of my sisters is also an Ofsted registered childminder in Harrow and has 7 years experience. I have completed 'Units 1 and 5 in Home–based Childcare’ and am currently studying 'Units 2, 3, and 4' together. Once all 5 units are complete, I will have a 'Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare'. I have a ‘Paediatric First Aid qualification’. We frequently use the local children’s centres, groups and facilities. This includes trips to Kensal Rise and Willesden Green Libraries, Roundwood Park and Queens Park. We also attend Treetops Stay & Play Sessions; Three Trees Children’s Centre; Willesden Health & Sports Centres; Moberley Soft Play Sensory Room and Boogie Babies singing group at St Gabriel’s Church. I am a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and our home is insured under NCMA Public Liability Insurance which is underwritten by Alliance Insurance plc. |
